Getting to / from Reus Airport (REU)

This small airport lies between the Spanish towns of Reus (2 miles) and Tarragona (6 miles), Barcelona is 55 miles distance up along the coast. Good airport for access to the beaches of Costa Dorada, Salou and Universal Mediterranean, (the European Universal Studios theme park) which includes Port Aventura and Costa Caribe water park.
Taxi	Limited numbers of taxis take passengers on a first-served basis, fares to Reus £10, Tarragona £16. The yellow taxi van costs EUR 2 to the central bus station (Ave. St.Jaume I). Buses run from there to Salou, Tarragona, Barcelona, Valls, and Cambrils, and other Spanish destinations.
Bus	Buses go from the airport to Barcelona Sants Estació station (£8 single), times depend on flight arrivals.
Train	Reus town railway station has good train links to Barcelona (90 mins journey). A reliable train service connects Salou, Tarragona, Sitges and Barcelona.

Universal Meditteranean, Salou - Resort complex with two 500 room hotels, right next to the fantastically huge theme park Port Aventura.
Port Aventura and Costa Caribe Water Park - These theme parks contains an outstanding range of hairy scary white knuckle rides to satisfy everyone in the family. The main park is divided into a number of exotic "Regions" such as China, Mexico, Far West and Meditteranean. Try the Dragon Khan, which is just about the wildest of the 5 super rollercoasters to choose from, as well as the 4 different water rides in the Water Park. Two day passes cost about £35 for adults and £27 for children under 13, under 5's free. Evening entertainment consists of floats and parades, followed by dancing and fireworks displays later in the evening. A good choice of lunchtime food is on offer as well as late night dining.
Playa Larga - Beach close to the theme parks, accessible by a 5 mins. free shuttle bus from the hotels.
Tarragona - Nearby town (5 miles away) with Roman archeological treasures, a grand cathedral and two museums.
