Train - Nearest railway station is Squires Gate Lane station 5 mins. walk from airport, with hourly trains to Preston. Blackpool North train station is 10 mins. by taxi, with many more trains services to Preston and other cities.
Taxi - Taxi fare costs about £5 for 5-10 mins. to town.

Palma is the gateway to this most popular Spanish Balearic Island. The lively Majorcan capital is great for seeing the sights and chilling out dining on freshly caught fish whilst overlooking the sparkling harbour. Palma Cathedral is a mighty Gothic sunlit cathedral drawing every eye. Castell de Bellver, a circular hilltop castle, has beautiful views.
There is only one official campsite (at Platja Brava) and a few private campsites on Majorca. Discreet use of a tent is tolerated around some beaches. Check also with the tourist office for cheap accommodation at several monasteries around the island.
