Flight and travel information to Bremen, Germany

Bremen is an old Hanseatic city in north Germany, situated 75 miles SW of Hamburg, 76 miles NW of Hannover, 35 miles south of Bremerhaven and 30 miles east of Oldenburg. The airfield is close by and easily accessible, particularly by tram.
Currently the only low cost airline flying direct to Bremen airport is Ryanair, see the Ryanair website for the latest fares.

 
Transfers from Bremen Airport (BRE), Germany
Bremen Airport (Bremen Flughafen) is a commuter airfield and lies 2 miles south of the city centre. It is easily accessible by car and has good public transport connections. It is also a possible airport for travel to cities in the north of Holland, such as Groningen, Leeuwarden or Assen.
Taxi 20 mins to city, fare costs from around 10 Euros. Door-to-door transfer services are also available.
Bus Public Express Bus services the airport from Bremen central bus station, Oldenburg and Groningen (Netherlands), buy tickets from the bus driver. The Luftibus shuttle also goes to Oldenburg. Bremen central bus station is in front of the train station.
Tram Tram no. 6 runs frequently from terminal to main railway station & central bus station, takes 20 minutes.
Train No connection to airport, but see tram info above. Bremen railway station has excellent connections with German cities including Hamburg, Osnabruck, Munster, Hannover, Bremerhaven, Frankfurt.
