Caracas Simon Bolivar International is 16 miles north of town, on the coast near Maiquetía. Macuto, a pleasant tourist beach resort, is just north of the city along the Caribbean Coast.
Taxi	There is an offical yellow taxi & transportation desk in Arrivals hall, use of the official taxi service run by Corporacion Anfitriones de Venezuela is advised, fare to city about US$ 25. Cheaper private taxis may not be safe and mugging has been reported.
Bus	Regular buses run from both terminals (when full) and stop close to the metro stations and Parque Central in Caracas. From Caracas back to the airport board at Gato Negro Metro Station, as city centre traffic is very slow. The Caracas Metro underground is excellent and cheap, and serves most major city attractions.
