Indira Ghandi International Airport terminals are a few miles apart, the newer International Terminal 3 is about 7 miles southwest of Delhi. This is India's main gateway for overseas visitors and a transport hub for those travelling to Rajasthan, the Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttal Pradesh and northern India.
From December until February, the airport is frequently affected by severe fog, expect delays during these months and allow plenty of time for flight transfers.
Taxi Use the pre-paid taxi booths in Arrivals. To avoid any scams, keep the pre-paid receipt until you arrive at your destination and insist on being taken to your chosen hotel and no other. Regulars and locals can also haggle over metered taxis and auto rickshaws.
