Getting to and from Krakow Airport (KRK), Poland
John Paul II Kraków-Balice International Airport is located in southern Poland and is the country's second largest hub. This efficient, single terminal airport is about 10 miles NW of the city, in the suburb of Balice. Its position next to the A4 motorway to Katowice makes this airport a good choice for travellers to both Krakow and Katowice.

Bus
Two bus routes connect this airport directly with the city centre; Bus 192 (Bohaterów Getta Square, Dworzec Glówny railway station, Cracovia Hotel), and Bus 208 (Nowy Kleparz, University Campus, Balicka st.), journey time about 35 minutes. The main railway station (Dworzec Glowny) and coach station are located close to each other, 5 minutes walk from the Old Town.
Train
The airport train station lies a short distance by free shuttle bus from the international terminal. Trains depart from here to the main Dworzec Glowny railway station every half an hour.
Krakow has good rail connections to other Polish cities and destinations abroad (Berlin, Budapest, Hamburg, Prague and Vienna). Frequent trains run to/from Warsaw, other services connect to Wroclaw via Katowice, Gydnia via Gdansk, Zakopane, Lublin, and Poznan. Trains in Poland are clean, cheap and reliable.

Muzeum Archidiecezjalne - This 14th C. house holds the room where Pope John Paul II lived, also religious art, 13th C. paintings.
Nowa Huta (New Town) - Interesting 'Real Socialist' architecture from the Communist era can be visited in this model Soviet suburb.
Wieliczka - Amazing and unique local saltmines filled with salt-carved statues, chapels and halls.
