Cheap Flights to Mexico City Mexico from £503

Surprisingly only British Airways flies direct from London to Mexico City, airfares for these flights start from £590 return. Our recommended alternative for cheap and certainly convenient flights for EU passport holders is with KLM via Amsterdam or Air France via Paris. These routes all avoid the inconvenience that can sometimes occur when flying via an American airport. The KLM flights have particularly good connections in Amsterdam for UK regional departures, the mid afternoon non stop flights to the Mexico city allows plenty of time for transfers. If you prefer a route via the States, Delta flying to Atlanta from Manchester connecting to their evening flight down to Mexico City is the shortest journey.
The expanding Benito Juarez International Airport (MEX) lies east of the Zocalo, the official city centre of Mexico City. The Metro is the cheapest way to reach the city, from the airport's Terminal Aerea subway station.

Long distance buses depart from the Central Bus Station in the city opposite the railway station, local buses operate from the City Bus Station.
Train The Airport Metro station is a few minutes walk away from domestic arrivals in Terminal 1. Take Line 5 and take a train to Pantitlán and change here to Line 1 (Observatorio) for the city centre. The Metro is cheap but crime is a serious problem, do not travel with luggage or valuables.
Car Driving around Mexico City is not for the faint hearted. Car drivers should check if your license plate permits you to drive in the city, as huge fines are issued.
