Getting to and from Murcia Airport (MJV), Costa Calida, Spain

This is a small military airport near the town of San Javier, by the beautiful Mar Menor coastal lake in southern Spain, 30 miles east of Murcia. Torrevieja is 18 miles north, Cartagena 18 miles south, La Manga 23 miles south.
Taxi	A common mode of transport to the holiday resorts on Costa Blanca and Costa Calida, fares from £18 to Torrevieja and £30 to Murcia.
Bus	A new Latbus bus service (Line 73) now links the airport with Murcia town. An alternative is to take a taxi from the airport to the bus stop in Santiago de la Ribera, (1.3 miles, £4), from here Costa Azul buses run to Cartagena & Torrevieja.
Train	Nearest train station is 18 miles south of the airport at Cartagena, trains run to Madrid, Murcia, Alicante, Valencia and Barcelona.
