    Taxi stand outside Palma  Airport EntrancePalma de Mallorca Airport is only 6 miles from the city and is the third busiest airport in Spain. Public transport is by bus, they start at 05.40am and run until 01.30am, or plentiful taxi cabs. Majorca Airport is a major European hub for German low cost airline Air Berlin.
    Taxi A number of taxi companies operate from the airport. Taxi fare to Palma city centre should cost about 15 Euros and takes only 15 minutes, to Magaluf or Palma Nova costs about 40 Euros.
    Bus Cheap bus route line 1 leave the airport every 15 mins for Paseo Mallorca and Plaza España in central Palma, Porto Pí and the Port, journey time about 30 mins. For buses to Puerto Pollensa, Magaluf, Palma Nova, Santa Ponsa, Peguera and other island destinations, they depart from the central Palma bus station in Calle Eusebi Estada (next to Plaza España). Bus timetables are available from the kiosk nearby.
    Train There is no train connection to Palma airport. There are 2 train lines from Palma town. A popular tourist attraction is the trip on the old wooden train from central Palma Plaza España over the mountains to Soller. From Palma Plaza España, passenger trains also connect to Inca, and from there to Sa Pobla or Manacor.

    • There is only one official campsite (at Platja Brava) and a few private campsites on Majorca. Discreet use of a tent is tolerated around some beaches. Check also with the tourist office for cheap accommodation at several monasteries around the island.
    • Best Majorca Resorts - Palma de Mallorca, Magaluf and Palma Nova are best for nightlife and clubbing. Port de Pollensa, Port de Soller and Port d'Alcudia are quieter, more scenic and best for families or older people.
