Guide to Soll, Austrian Alps

Söll ski resort has long been popular with groups of British and German beginners and intermediates. Located in a wide scenic valley close to the German border, Söll forms part of Austria's large 250 km.linked ski and snowboard area, known as the Ski Welt, in the Wilder Kaiser mountain range. This former Tyrolean farming village is now also one of Austria's most popular resorts for ski package tours and English is widely spoken everywhere. Expert skiers may find that thrills are hard to come by and there isn’t much off-piste skiing here, but beginners will love it. A drawback is the slightly larger distance between the village and the main lift stations, which is covered by a free bus service. However, Söll is a good place if you're on a tight budget and planning to take a cheap package skiing holiday or are looking for some good value skiing and cheap accommodation.
